ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

We're pitting bike shop employees against bike shop employees in the greatest challenge to test their velo mettle. Think you got what it takes? Enter the Bike Shop Challenge Rodeo (FREE) at BiKETOBEERFEST for a chance to preserve your pride (and win prizes).

THE COMPETITIONS

THE DERBY

Contenders will be entered into a gritty, demanding Derby/Foot Down where they'll need to draw upon their very best navigational and balancing skills as they ride in a circle packed with competitors. Put your foot down and you're out. No pushing or shoving with your arms, but strategically maneuvering your bicycle to block other competitors is allowed. The circle gets narrower as contenders are eliminated. The last contender still riding win.

THE LIMBO

Jack be limbo, Jack be quick, Jack go unda limbo stick - on a bike. The contender to make it under the lowest limbo pole wins.

WHO CAN COMPETE (FREE)

* Anyone currently employed by a bike shop
* Must be 18 year or older
* Must sign a waiver on site or in advance
* Non-mechanics welcome
* Women encouraged
* Costumes encouraged

LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE

The Bike Shop Challenge Rodeo is limited to 21 competitors. Sign up in advance (FREE) to guarantee a spot. You must check in 20 minutes prior to the start of the first competition. If you do not check in, your spot will be given away and you will be unable to compete. If there are spaces available on the day of the event, you may sign up (FREE) on site.

HOW TO CHECK IN

Contender Check In opens at 6:30. At this time, you may check in for your participant number or register (space allowing). FREE.

PRIZES

Contenders will vie for great prizes such as free beer from Hopworks and more. Final prize list will be available on site.
