Sustainability: Water

Hopworks is water-efficient by nature! We have managed to cut our water use to half the industry average for small breweries through training and the installation of water-saving equipment. Our favorite water-saving machine is the CIP(Clean In Place) Skid that is responsible for recovering tank cleaning detergent and post-cleaning rinse water in two separate tanks. We estimate that this clever device has cut our water use by 5% and our detergent use by 50% as we are able to reuse the detergent all week, not just once. Our second favorite device captures the can interior rinse water and re-uses it to rinse the outside of the cans. Reduce, reuse and recycle has never tasted so good. Cheers!
